Space Age Drinks Bar

This is are very much loved Space Age Drinks Bar.

We brought this bar just over 14 years ago on a trip to Brighton to see my brother. We had just brought our first house and had a few pounds left over to do some DIY but found this bar and had to have.

At the time it was described to us as a seafood bar, you put dips in bowls in the four holes in the middle and ice round the edge with seafood on it but we've been using for drinks and glasses.

We have no idea who designed or made it, we were told it was a one off but some years later there was one in a 'Flash Floor Cleaner' TV Advert and in the 2004 film 'The Life & Death of Peter Sellers'. So there are at least 2 made.

Mid Century Eye Shape Clock

I picked up this clock a couple of weeks ago and since then I have been unable to find anything out about it.
There are no makers marks or labels, the only info on it is it has a Smiths Electric clock mechanism which is made in Great Britain.

The clock is currently in my eBay shop here

My Love of 1960s 1970s 3D Relief Abstract Art

One of my big passions in 20th century design is abstract 3D relief paintings / art.

My favorite known artist is Rosslyn Ruiz, I have three of her paintings. I first came across here work in Millers Collecting the 60s book and thought I would never find any of her work.

A few years after that book came out I found one at a car boot sale in Guildford Surrey.

The second piece of hers was picked up on eBay.

And the third picture came from a auction just a couple of weeks ago.

Other paintings / art work that I have in the same style that I have been collecting for years.

Made from pieces polystyrene and painted.

This was the first painting that started it all.

Possibly our favorite art work we own came from a car boot for the grand total of £2.00..

This fish is made from ceramic pieces with blue glass high lights.
